Measured Moments

July 22, 2006
Measured Moments Into nothing, a sea of gray, No burning amber to light the way, As seasons are lost, as years betray, No more tommorows to seize the day, As silence rests upon a will to pray, No more seasons flutter; no more drops of rain, A flagrant somber brings a delayed shame, While, hope for a brighter tommorow withers away, Rest, comes not easy, to those, Lost inside a crumbling decay, For, time is all, but, too uncertain, As it measures each passing day. The World I Know

The World I Know
In the meaning we find a lesson, In such beauty we find a song, In between we find the privilege, To live life full and long; The ages teach us much history, Riddled by mysteries left unsolved, While, elders speak of intricate details, Such wisdom, so few will ever know; Seeing is so often distorted, By tricks and slide of hands, Making so very few things sacred, That, many wonder just where to stand; The world leaves us to ponder, As life's thrills lead us to chance, When time chooses to pull us under, It is the spirit with whom we dance.

Love Awakened from Stone

“Love Awakened from Stone” A lesson in love, yet, so full of regret, Should its meaning be gone, unable to find resolve, Or, shall it presume to remain dead, for all seasons? A witness to such madness, still lingers its ill effects, Long after the pain has turned into consequence, Could such love prove to be, worth more than the circumstance? When, what from it came, defined the pure meaning of innocence, Demanding much love and guidance, came a beautiful gift, to be treasured, Was this to be lost, somewhere amidst the flagrant shuffles? Would obligations bring protest, or find great honor in such duty, Leading to such feelings of praise, found to be so very rewarding, Thus, therein lay a love, yielding great resonance, longing to be nurtured to grow and flourish.
